2017 NFL TRADE DEADLINE FAST APPROACHING
2017 NFL trade deadline is Oct. 31 at 4 p.m. ET, and the rumors are flying fast and furious about NFL transactions, which is always amusing since most teams do not complete trades in the mid-season. Still, most teams are still in the hunt for the playoffs, and injuries have left quite a few teams with some gaping holes in talent, so anything is possible.
Some squads will still try to shop veteran players to clear out cap space or because of productivity. Like every year, there are several trade rumors, but most of them never come to fruition. Here are a few players we could see playing for other teams on November 1st.
Martavis Bryant, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers . . . there is no doubt about Bryant’s talent, but there is doubt about his dedication to the game, and attitude, after he served a one-year suspension for substance abuse and then clashed with some teammates during pre-season.
Carlos Hyde, RB, San Francisco 49ers . . . the 49ers are a bad team with their star running back. Would trading him be an upgrade for the future?
Cordy Glenn, OT, Buffalo Bills . . . The Bills admit they have an abundance of offensive linemen, and they also admit they will listen to all trade offers. The Seattle Seahawks desperately need an offensive lineman (or four). Do not be surprised if this trade is eventually made.
Marcell Dareus, DT, Buffalo Bills . . . it wouldn’t have been a surprise if Buffalo had traded Dareus last summer, so a move at the trade deadline would cause no ripples at all, but is there any teams who wants to take on his massive contract and declining performance issues?
There are more, of course, and further discussion about the 2017 NFL Trade Deadline must begin with quarterback and the Green Bay Packers. Will they make a playoff move this NFL season and trade for a talented starter? And they aren’t the only team in the league with quarterback issues, and there is always discussion about veteran linemen on both sides of the ball.
Stay tuned! It may get pretty interesting in about seven days.
