Second Down and $10.5M for Tom Brady’s Boston Apartment
After failing to complete a transaction in 2009, NFL star quarterback Tom Brady’s Beacon Street penthouse apartment has been listed for sale again.
The apartment is located in Boston’s urban epic-center of Back Bay real estate and melds the historic charm of Beantown with the kinds of modern amenities a globe-trotting, fashion-forward celebrity like Brady requires. The 5,311-square foot condo offers 3-plus bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a master suite, luxurious kitchen and a state-of-the-art gym.
The Boston real estate market has clearly put pressure on the New England Patriots’ MVP QB, prompting Brady to drop the price $400,000 to $10.5M. In 2009, Brady tried to sell the place for $10.9M.
Brady and his supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen, welcomed their son into the world while dwelling in the Beacon Street abode. But the photogenic couple has erected a far more sprawling living space out in California — a mere $20M, 22,000-square foot estate in the Brentwood real estate market in Los Angeles.
Hopefully, the pretty pair will have the kind of luck this time with the Boston penthouse that Giselle had selling her New York City townhouse in the West Village, which had been listed for $13,950,000.
Not that Brady is a real estate flipper-slouch. He’s had his big score on the New York real estate market. Brady netted a handsome profit when he sold his Time Warner Center condo for $17.5M earlier in 2011
