Paradise for MVP QB Kurt Warner Won’t Be in This Sleek Contemporary House

Former NFL star quarterback Kurt Warner owns an incredible success story about his humble beginnings as a professional football player. But the Phoenix area home he owns tells just how far the former grocery store clerk came, considering the property is one of the area’s coolest modernistic mansions.
Warner is seeking to sell the flashy home, worthy of a Super Bowl MVP and now on the market for $4,998,500. It figures that Warner bought the one-of-a-kind contemporary from a Hall of Fame baseball player: Second baseman Roberto Alomar.
That’s some pretty impressive athletic pedigree for this commanding, 11,000-sq ft home, complete with a dramatic, 24-foot high entry foyer, grand circular staircase and so much more.
Warner, who finished his illustrious career with the Arizona Cardinals after winning Super Bowls in St. Louis, has moved to another property in Scottsdale. That has prompted the family man to list his home on the Paradise Valley real estate market.
While the Arizona real estate market has taken a beating during the housing downturn, Warner’s home is loaded with the kind of style that commands luxury prices.
The sleek amenities include an elevator that leads to two master suites with private patios overlooking a diving and lap pool. A gourmet granite kitchen blends into expansive family entertaining areas, butlers kitchen and a spectacular dining room. There’s a large billiards room with wet bar, spacious guesthouse with separate entry, a piano room, formal living, theater room and a spa.
Not bad for an undrafted college player who had to stock grocery store shelves and cut his chops in the Arena Football League before he was finally signed by the St. Louis Rams. It wasn’t until four years out of college when Warner, the second string QB, was pressed into emergency duty for the Rams. That 1999 season was all it took to turn Warner from afterthought to NFL star.
Heavily involved in charity work and a devout Christian, Warner’s playing career is over, but he signed on as an analyst for the NFL Network in 2010.
