NBA Center Tyson Chandler Sells Santa Fe Home
Tyson Chandler, a thirteen year veteran of the NBA and current center for the Dallas Mavericks, recently sold his Rancho Sante Fe for a loss at $2.7 million. Chandler and his wife purchased the five-acres estate in August, 2006, for $5 million, so this is a considerable loss for the former NBA Defensive Player of the Year. The property includes a gated driveway, mature palms and tropical landscaping, and resort-like grounds throughout. The main home has hardwood flooring, recessed lighting, and a tiered floor plan within 5,705 square feet. There are open living spaces, a gourmet kitchen, built-in entertainment center, six bedroom and five baths.
As if that were not enough, there is also a basketball court, an outdoor kitchen, pool, spa, and a waterfall.
The home was damaged in 2007 by the Witch Creek wildfire.
Chandler has played for five teams during his career and won a championship with Dallas in 2011.
