Manhattan Luxury Real Estate Market is Booming
As you might suspect, at Sportsrelocation.com, we spend a great deal of time checking out luxury real estate trends across the country. Many of our clients need to relocate to a new city, and that means we need answers when it comes time for those clients to buy or sell property. CityRealty recently announced that Manhattan’s luxury real estate properties were up 120% in value so far this year, meaning that it is far outdistancing the rest of the nation. This year alone, 165 homes sold for $10 million or more in Manhattan, up from 75 last year.
So what’s going on in Manhattan?
Buyer confidence is obviously high there. The local economy is thriving. And investors, who recovered quickly from the recession, are pouring dollars into the real estate market much faster than the average home buyers are doing. Remember that luxury real estate is not necessarily subject to national trends. It is a whole different ballgame, so to speak, and that’s why having a real estate agent who is familiar and experienced in luxury real estate is a must.
