The Craziest Four Days in Professional Sports
Do you know what the craziest four days in professional sports are? They are coming soon….July 27th through August 1st, which means we are eight days from hectic times in the professional sports world. So, what’s happening to lead us to make that statement?
Starting on July 27th, thirty-two NFL teams will begin pre-season training camp in preparation for the upcoming 2016 NFL Season, and that means over three-thousand professional football players will begin the annual athlete relocation process.
But not only that, but the deadline for trades for Major League Baseball is August 1st, meaning that in the days preceding August 1st, thirty MLB teams will be trading players in an attempt to strengthen their teams for the playoffs or find players who will help them next year in a rebuilding effort, and that means dozens of MLB players will also begin the athlete relocation process.
Crazy times indeed!
And every single one of those players will be finding temporary housing, will be transporting possessions and will be making contacts to ensure that the relocation process goes as smoothly as possible…and then they will be hoping that they only have to do it once this season because, as any follower of professional sports knows, there are no guarantees when it comes to where a player will be playing. Arriving at camp in New York does not mean you will finish the training camp in New York as cuts are made, releases are given and trades are made, from Day One of training camp to the break of camp and the beginning of the regular season.
Buckle in and get ready for the craziest four days of professional sports.
