2017 World Series Is Great For Baseball
2017 World Series watchers will tell you that the 113th series between American and National League Champs, this time between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Houston Astros, is one of the best things to happen to Major League Baseball in a very long time. Not only is this a Series between teams not named New York, Boston, or Chicago, but it is a riveting MLB series with more plot twists than a daytime soap opera.
Case in point: the Series game Sunday, 10/29, had higher ratings than Sunday Night Football, and Game Six of the Series promises to rock the ratings boat even more.
Can Los Angeles bring a world championship back to the City of Angels after so long a drought? Can Houston finally win a World Series after being bounced around both leagues as the ugly step-sister nobody wanted?
This is entertainment at its finest. Lead changes are the norm in this series and not the exception. Starting pitchers considered invincible suddenly appear to be mere mortal. No lead is safe. Rookies are taking center stage instead of tested veterans. Fans in the stands, and at home, are going absolutely bonkers from the excitement, and bettors in Las Vegas don’t know which direction to go with their bets.
Who will finally emerge victorious from the 2017 World Series and raise that trophy high? No matter who you are rooting for, one thing is for certain: this World Series is absolutely great for the game of baseball.
Stay tuned! The battle returns to Los Angeles on Tuesday for a Halloween Spectacular! You will not want to miss it.
