2015 A Great Year to Sell Your Real Estate

The bad times of the real estate market are behind us.

Can we say that categorically and with 100% certainty?  Of course not, but we can say that all market indicators are positive, and they all point to the fact that 2015 will be a very good year to sell real estate.  If you’ve been sitting on the fence wondering when the right time would be, you might want to get off that fence this year.

Why?

First, let’s consider mortgage interest rates.  Mortgage rates continue to fall, and that is great news for sellers.  Low interest rates means there are more buyers out there looking, and that means supplies are low, and in a supply and demand market, that means this is a good time to sell a home.

Secondly, sales prices, in most major markets, continue to rise.  How long that will last is anyone’s guess, but what can’t be denied is that it is happening now.  Low supply, high demand, combined mean price increase.  2015 just might be the year you get top dollar for your real estate.

Thirdly, we are seeing an increase in first time buyers.  With a drop in the unemployment rates, more young adults are looking to purchase real estate of their own.  Those increases in the number of buyers is good news for any seller.

Fourth, the warmer weather of spring and summer will mean more buyers come out of the winter blues and start looking. This is inevitable and predictable, and a savvy seller will pay attention to this trend.

Now is the time.  2016 is an election year, and it is anyone’s guess what will happen to the market once a new President is elected into office, so selling before that happens is a smart move.  Consider all of these factors and then give us a call. We are here to help.
