Retired slugger Sammy Sosa has purchased an oceanfront home in Golden Beach for $7.6 million, The Real Deal has learned. Sosa, who hit 609 home runs during a lengthy Major League Baseball career, acquired a two-story, seven-bedroom estate at 667 Ocean Boulevard, according to a statement from the listing broker. Last week, David Stern set a Wednesday 5pm deadline for a deal that essentially amounted to a 50/50 split of basketball related income.
