20 June, 2017

The NBA Mock Draft 2017, presented to you by Sports Relocation, Inc.,  will take a look at the Top Five picks in this year’s draft held this Thursday, June 22.  Despite the blockbuster trade between the Celtics and the Sixers, we do not see the player order changing in the draft. Let’s take a look at this year’s NBA Top Five draft selections: 1st Philadelphia picks Markelle Fultz, PG, from Washington. Fultz gives the Sixers the backcourt scorer they have needed for years, and Ful [...]

13 June, 2017

MLB Draft 2017 is underway as thirty MLB teams draft players in forty rounds over the span of three days, June 12-14. When the dust settles on June 14th, 1200 high school players, college players, and foreign players will know what their baseball future holds, and MLB rosters will change drastically. For the third time in history, the Minnesota Twins hold the number one pick in the draft, and since the Twins only have one winning season in the past six years, this year’s selection is crucia [...]

Inglewood Stadium Delayed One Year

30 May, 2017

Inglewood Stadium, future home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers, will be delayed in opening for one year due to two months of torrential rains which severely delayed work on the 298-acre sports and entertainment center. 15.4 inches of rain fell on the worksite from November to February, at times leaving a lake where excavation had begun.  The decision was finally made to postpone opening until 2020.  NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told the NFL league’s 32-team owners of the delay rece [...]

MLB Player Relocations for May 20, 2017

23 May, 2017

MLB player relocations look something like this: It was a seemingly unimportant mention under the baseball transactions listed Saturday, May 20.  The world of sports was informed that the Arizona had traded RHP Enrique Burgos to Atlanta for cash considerations.  It also stated that Atlanta had acquired 1B Matt Adams from St. Louis for INF Juan Yepez and cash, and had transferred RHP Chaz Roe to the 60-day DL.  RHP Luke Jackson was also recalled from Gwinnett in minor league baseball. On [...]

Real Estate as an Investment in 2017

09 May, 2017

Real Estate as an investment in 2017 is a great option, but the old saying “location, location, location,” still stands true this year. A typical scenario we see all the time at Sports Relocation, Inc., is the athlete who signs a new contract. Signing that contract means more money, and more money means thoughts of investment.  Let’s face it, the average playing lifespan of a professional athlete is only seven years, seven out of seventy or eighty for the entire life, so it is importan [...]

2017 NFL Draft Winners and Losers

02 May, 2017

We hesitate to even write this article because, quite frankly, picking the 2017 NFL Draft winners and losers is like tossing a dart at a dartboard blindfolded.  What appears to be a great draft one day can blow up and disappear with one injury during training camp, and what looks like a miserable draft can turn into the stuff of legends (just ask the Seahawks Legion of Boom about drafts). However, what fun is the NFL Draft without some speculation?  For fans and observers, that is all we ar [...]

Athlete Relocation Experts

25 April, 2017

Athlete relocation experts are not  sports agents, nor are they financial advisors or legal advisors. All of those fields require specialization, and it is best to turn to those professionals for that expertise. Athlete relocation experts work with the athlete AND his/her team of existing advisors, coordinating efforts and making sure the athlete receives the best professional process possible.  This is an important distinction and one worth noting. Our primary purpose is to make your re [...]

2017 NFL Draft in Two Weeks

19 April, 2017

2017 NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, a fact every single NFL executive is keenly aware of.  April 27-29 are the dates for the annual selection of college athletes, and the great shuffle of players which occurs every year immediately after the Draft. Who do the experts think will be picked in the opening round? If history is any indication, one would be just as accurate predicting by tossing a dart at a list of college athletes, but that won’t prevent us here at Sports Relocation, Inc. [...]
